Year 6 are really enjoying opening a new book each day. We think the advent book tree is a great idea! The children are really looking forward to reading all of the new books that we have opened so far.
As part of their electricity unit, Year 6 had a lesson all about conductors and insulators. They learnt the difference between the two and investigated using a range of different materials in the classroom. The children found that the drawer handle is a conductor and lets electricity flow through it easily, which is why the bulb in the circuit was lit.
In RE this week we have been exploring unity and harmony in the Baha’i faith. The children ended this lesson with an activity where they had to discuss what they had in common with the people on their table and what made them unique.
