Year 6 have had their final lesson geography lesson today focusing on place knowledge. The children spent the lesson creating a double-page spread about why people should stay in rural Russia rather than moving to urban areas.

Mixing Colours
In science this afternoon we have been experimenting with mixing colours of light. The children used torches and coloured filters to explore how the colour of llight got on different coloured objects would change.
Musical Notes
Over the past 2 weeks the children have been learning how to read, write and play different musical notes. So far they have looked at crotchets, quavers, rests, minims and semibreves.
Conscience Alley
Year 6 have been preparing to write a one-sided argument this week. To get the children thinking about the question ‘Should we welcome people?’, we completed a conscience alley to discuss reasons for and against.
Coding Multiplication Games
Year 6 have been finishing their multiplication games this afternoon using Scratch. Some of the children progressed their game even further by adding sound and more mathematical operations.
Art
Over the past two art lessons the children have been practising their sketching of war aircraft.
