KS2 SATs revision resources

Below is a link to some useful information on how your child can prepare for their KS2 mathematics SATs whether they are in Year 5 or 6.

There are topic boosters and past papers with video tutorials to help target specific weaknesses. For Year 5, there is a mini-maths (less than 5 minute) video for every day of the year to help establish a daily routine and encourage thinking-outside-the-box puzzles. The resources can be used on PCs, laptops, tablets and mobile phones via the website. Students who have used the resources in the last couple of years have said how it has helped them understand and be more successful in their maths.

Green Fire

Year 6 witnessed Mrs Croft carrying out an experiment to make Green Fire today. The children saw what happens when chemicals are mixed together. They have been learning how the changes that occur are irreversible,
and after half term they will be carrying out their own experiment to test their theories.

Posting hurtful pictures online

As part of Safer Internet Week, Year 6 Eagles have taken part in an activity detailing the hurtful effects of posting pictures online, without permission. They discussed a scenario where a child had “amusing” pictures of her posted for all her friends to see.

Year 6 worked together to come up with answers to a series of questions, and made sensible suggestions as how the girl’s guilty friend could solve the situation by apologising.
