Video: General elections party politial broadcasts

As you know Year 6 have been learning all about the recent general elections. Today was the big day to deliver their Party Political Broadcasts using our amazing Media Centre. The children dressed up, got in character and delivered their heart-felt and well thought out policies to the nation. Why not watch the videos – I think you’ll agree, we have some budding politicians in the making!

Year 6 celebrations

Year 6 had a fabulous day to end SATs. The children took part in a series of art activities; making zappy zoomers and floating football cones as well as painting tiles.

They also had their own mini disco, free time on the iPads and a picnic out on the field, following the bubble wrap fun.

Take a look at some of our photos.

Video: After SATS fun!

Year 6 had so much fun on Friday after SATs. We went out onto the field wrapped in bubble wrap, and rolled along it popping as much as we could! There was a game of ‘Beat the goalie’ (aka Mrs Sabir) and various tug of war competitions. I think it’s fair to say the children all enjoyed themselves! Take a look at the video.

Young Writers superstars!

We are so very proud of four of our pupils in Year 6: Kira, Lily, Phoebe, Dominic and Katie. They have all had short stories published by the Young Writers in a book called ‘Once upon a time’.

Their stories were chosen for the publication based on style, expression, imagination and technical skill. All stories were an absolute pleasure to read and the children should be very pleased with themselves.

Kira’s story was the overall winner from over 200 entries from 15 schools. She will receive a Kindle later in the year!

A very well done to all of you – keep up the talented writing when you get to secondary school.
