Y6 children work on numeracy at Baverstock

Twelve children from our class (year 6) were selected to go to Baverstock Academy on Tuesday 21st January. In maths the children were learning about circumference. We all had great fun trying to calculate Pi. We watched an extremely long video which was all about Pi – it was very slow and quiet, so the children all jumped at the end when a huge, scary creature appeared at on the screen screaming! We all had a wonderful time and agreed that it was the best Gifted and Talented day that we had ever been to.

Internet safety

Here is a blog from Hermione in year 6.

Safety week was fun! We got to do lots of fun activities. I especially liked the video we watched on internet safety – It really opened my eyes to what could happen online if we are not careful.

Some people that use the internet are dangerous. WE MUST REMEMBER STRANGER DANGER! Do not talk to anyone online that you do not know because there could be serious consequences. No one is saying don’t use the internet, it’s amazing, just be very careful to keep your personal information safe and do not disclose it to strangers.
