Sports Relief
Congratulations to all members of the Eagles who braved the chilly weather and completed the Sports Relief mile this afternoon!
Orienteering
Year 6 have returned back to school after the 2 weeks Christmas holiday raring to go… and today was no exception. Mr Gill introduced them to Orienteering in PE, which they loved. They ran around the playground finding all the markers, testing their map reading skills as they went.
Brandon said “I loved the orienteering, when can we have another go?”. Mr Gill was very impressed with their ability (even after just 1 session).

Year 5 Play Leaders
Today Mrs Sargant took 5 of our very hard working year 6’s to train to become ‘Play Leaders’ within school. A’Limah, Faith, Holly, Morgan and Ben spent the day learning how to teach games to other children, and will be putting their training to good use during lunchtimes. This was a fabulous opportunity for the children, and their experience will make an excellent contribution to their secondary school ‘CV’. We look forward to seeing them in action.

Aston Villa coach helps Y6 during PE
Today Year 6 were lucky enough to have a visit from Aaron Drakeley from the Aston Villa Football Academy, during their PE session.
The children took part in a series of warm-up exercises and were taught various football skills such as; dribbling and blocking their opponents. They had a great session.
One of our Sports ambassadors for the school Reece Andrew said: “This lesson with Aaron was awesome, I loved it!”
Take a look at the photos and see what they got up to.
